Surf Life Saving Northern Territory (SLSNT) is a volunteer-based community service organisation regarded as the peak coastal safety body in the NT, which formed in 1983 and incorporated in 1991.

Whilst surf lifesaving activities have been embedded in the Australian way of life for more than 100 years, they have only been present in the NT since 1971 when our first club, Gove Peninsula Surf Life Saving Club opened its doors in Nhulunbuy.

First Aid, CPR and Advanced Lifesaving Skills
SLSNT is a registered training provider, and has been delivering accredited training in First Aid, CPR and advanced lifesaving since 2007. We pride ourselves on making sure our courses are fun, interactive and enjoyable for all.

Why not learn First Aid and CPR from lifesaving experts? We are able to conduct training on site, at your workplace – all we need is access to a training room. Our training can be tailored to suit your schedule and staffing requirements.

All courses are delivered under the Australian Quality Training Framework and are Nationally Accredited (Registered Training Organisation number 40110).

Surf Sports
Surf lifesavers engage in regular competition to maintain their skills and fitness. Workshops, course and training sessions aimed at athletes, coaches and officials will be advertised here as well as events open to the public.

So get involved!!
