2022/23 HOLIDAY SWIM

Holiday Swim is a Royal Life Saving Society South Australia initiative bringing affordable and educational swimming and water safety lessons to pools and inland waterway locations across Metro and Regional South Australia since the 1950’s. The aim of the program is to teach children critical life saving skills and basic swimming skills, to equip them with the knowledge to stay safe in, on and around the water.
The aim of keeping the program affordable, is to reach families and communities that might otherwise miss out on the opportunity to participate in swimming lessons, and as we approach the busy Summer months now is the time to equip them with the knowledge to save a life.
The program will be returning in 2021/2022 with the Royal Life Saving Swim & Survive program.

WONDER AND COURAGE:
Wonder
- Is for children aged 6 to 36 months is a water familiarisation component and the first stage in a lifetime of fun in the water through songs, games and activities, and safety including entries, floating, breathing and movement.
Courage - Is for children aged 3 -5 years is a water confidence component and is a fundamental development of skills in swimming, survival & water safety by guiding children through fun and safe activities, gradually building upon their breathing, floating and movement skills.

Swim and Survive ACTIVE LEVELS D1-7– the Swim & Survive program consists of 10 levels, please take a few moments to read through and assess the best level for your child. A brief assessment will be done on the first day; however, it is always best to place your child in a level as close as possible to avoid class disruptions and time changes. These Levels can be found here: https://www.royallifesaving.com.au/programs/swim-and-survive/active
