SATIC with the support of the Government of South Australia and the South Australian Tourism Commission is running 30 workshops around the state in 2016/17. Each workshop includes a one-on-one business coaching session per registered business within three months of the workshop.

These workshops are highly interactive, hands on and conducted in a small intimate group setting of up to 30 people that are tailored and run by professional facilitators. They aim to deliver tangible outcomes - learnt today and implemented tomorrow.

SERVICE ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH -
EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCES IS THE EXPECTATION

In today’s customer-oriented environment your ability to connect and communicate throughout the end-to-end guest experience will be key to your future success as a business and ultimately your region.

This workshop will give you the skills and practical resources needed to create exceptional experiences and secure an overall competitive advantage that is sustainable and valued by your guests.

Having worked extensively across regional SA from a tourism and visitor economy perspective, Kiikstart has recently re-mastered the session to respond to consistent areas of skill gaps when it comes to the design and execution of experiences – the before and after care.

Key takeaways from this learning and development experience include:
  • Discover the uniqueness of your experiences and how to build even more opportunities with new and more importantly existing customers.
  • Identify current skill gaps that can impact on progress and find practical, cost effective solutions - in real time.
  • Make even better use of your people, product and place to meet changing needs and trends.
  • Really understand what innovation is and use it to exceed guest expectations - social media is only part of the story.
  • Evolve and build on current experiences with greater impact and creativity.
This workshop forms part of a ServiceIQ: Smarter Business Program which is designed to build industry capability, productivity and quality in tourism businesses throughout the State. The Program is an initiative of the Premier of South Australia and is being delivered by SATIC using funding provided by the the South Australian Tourism Commission and the Government of South Australia.

SATIC’s Service Excellence Manager, Roz Becker and other members of the SATIC team will be undertaking one-on-one business coaching within three months of the ServiceIQ Workshop. These follow-up meetings will assist with the implementation of learnings from this workshop.
