ADOHTA WA WISHES TO ANNOUNCE AN ACCREDITED CPD OPPORTUNITY IN PERTH WA
The Senior Smiles preventative oral health program:
How to deliver the model of care, your role and responsibilities
(A Workshop Experience)
A changing environment for oral health professionals means additional knowledge and skills are required to care for the oral health needs of our older population. Join us at the 'Senior Smiles' workshop, where you will learn about our most frail and elderly, how to assist them with their oral health needs, how to improve their quality of life and how to operate as an oral health practitioner in the Residential Aged Care environment.
The Senior Smiles program has just been trademarked and is now providing accredited training and orientation to the Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) environment for oral health practitioners. The Senior Smiles model requires a qualified oral health practitioner to be in the RACF on a regular basis to ensure residents are receiving the appropriate care. The training is also suitable for RACF staff to assist in integrating and implementing oral health care into facilities.
