Important Registration Information

You will be registering for 2 conference components; the Puliima 2017 Forum and 1 Optional Extra Workshop that will be held on Monday 16th October and Tuesday 17th October. Please see details for these Optional Extra Workshops below.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are registering for the workshops on the 16th and 17th October leading into the Puliima Forum, please select ONE OPTIONAL EXTRA ONLY. iBooks Author (Optional Extra 1) or Intensive Training Workshops (Optional Extra 2),  or the COEDL workshop (Optional Extra 3) as these sessions are concurrent.

Spaces for workshops are limited on a first in first served basis!

 

Optional Extra 1: iBooks Author

Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th October (prior to Puliima Forum)

Delivered by Apple
This two day workshop will offer delegates the chance to discover the exciting creative possibilities of Multi-Touch Books as language preservation tools.  Delegates will gain valuable iBooks Author skills to help them create all new interactive Books, or great digital versions of their existing work. Delegates will also discover the power of book templates that they can use to produce multiple digital Books quickly and easily to support learning in First Australian languages in First Australian communities.

Optional Extra 2: Intensive Training Workshops

Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th October (prior to Puliima Forum)
This option includes 4 workshops held over 2 days, with each workshop lasting 3.5hrs. You have the choice to attend all workshops.
 
a. How to create optimal recordings in your own language 
 
b. Creating community-driven oral language learning
 
c. Tyama-ngan koong meerreeng watnanda malayeetoo (We know, body and country together, long time) – How to use this language resource
 
d. Language games and activities for the classroom

COST = $75

Optional Extra 3: COEDL
 
Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th October (prior to Puliima Forum)
This option includes two workshops, each held over the course of one day. Workshop a. will be held on Monday, and workshop b. will be held on Tuesday.

a. First steps in data management: How to inventory, assess, and safeguard unarchived language materials

b. Using Powtoon: A free online tool for making animated videos

  • If you would like to attend any of these extra days you will need to select this on your registration form. PLEASE NOTE -  As we have limited spaces this will be on a first in first served basis.
  • The timetables for these 2 extra days is TBA.
  • Once registered you will be given an ID number and it will be possible for you to use this ID number to sign back in and alter your registration at any time.
  • Delegates registered for optional extras will be contacted separately regarding timetable.
  • It is possible to register multiple delegates on the one registration form.
  • Registrations close on Monday the 2nd October 2017

CANCELLATION POLICY: To receive a refund for the conference registration fee, cancellation requests must be submitted via email to contact@puliima.com no later than the 1st of October 2017. A $15 processing fee will be subtracted from all refunds.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no refunds for cancellations made after 1st October 2017.
